George and Joe | Plainfield IL Family Photography

These two little brothers were just precious in their little matching outfits!  I met their mom Anna, and their aunt at Cantigny while they were visiting from the east coast this summer.  Anna went to school with both my sister Shelly and brother in law, Mike.

Sometimes I wonder how I ever maintain a blog at all.  I'm horrible at this... I think if there is one thing my kids ever keep me from doing, it's being consistent!

George and Joe are the cutest little things ever though... just look at these faces!!!

Joe will make you want a baby boy to hug and snuggle.  He is seriously the smooshiest little kid I have ever met!

The Oglesby's | Plainfield IL Family Photography

There are tons of crazy coincidences that have come up over the years that I've known this adorable family, definitely way too many to count, but I first met Ron at the last salon I worked at here in Plainfield before I decided to work from home.  Since then I have been their family hairstylist, their Realtor... and their photographer!

Ron and Dina are pretty perfect for each other, and their daughter Maddie is such a sweet, polite, and beautiful little girl.  It made photographing them almost effortless.  I started laughing when we were scoping out the scenery at Inwood Park in Joliet for the best places to use as a backdrop when Ron exclaimed, "no man made structures."  We found the best little area along the side of the park with large piled up branches and logs that made the perfect un"man-made" benches!  I did coax them over the the beautiful gazebo and bridge at the other side of the park though, lol.  The photographer in me just simply could not resist ;o)

I'm so glad to know this family and lucky to have so many reasons to keep in touch!  Aren't they adorable?

Lucy and Lola | Plainfield Children's Photography

I'd still think they were two of the cutest little girls on the planet... even if they weren't my nieces :o)

The thing you have to understand about my niece Lucy is that for the 50% of the time she loves me, the flip side to that affection is met with something less than adoration.  It's okay though because she totally informs me of when she likes me, and she's sure to make certain that I know when I'm not in her good graces.  She is a girl that knows what she wants and I wouldn't take her any other way.  Luckily for me, we were sooooo BFF during their photo session. She posed like a Toddlers and Tiara's diva.  (and well... maybe there was an ice-cream cone for her from Tate's Ice Cream Parlor at the end of it too :o)

Lola, on the other hand, is my little zombie loving buddy.  Well, I mean she loves to hate them, but either way she can't get enough of her obsession.  The kid just turned two and had a zombie themed birthday party... she's totally hard core.

It wasn't hard to pick Adam's Park in Wheaton again after my session with little blue eyed Liam early last month. I love that place!  So much so, that I'll be there again this weekend with the Zapata family.  The locals are going to think I'm some crazy pigeon-like lady if they see me hanging out there every weekend!

I'm also looking forward to another session I have booked for next weekend at Cantigny in Wheaton with the Kinsella family.  The colors are starting to change and it will probably be beautiful there next weekend.  Fall photo sessions are such a great way to capture the family!  Gahhhh, I love what I do!  AND I love these two girlies:

Party of Six | Plainfield IL Family Photographer

We'll since it hasn't been 4 months since the last time I blogged a photo session, I'm going to pat myself on the back for being consistent!  How could I stay away though when I have such a beautiful family to blog about?

I went to high school with the amazing mom of these six BEAUTIFUL children, and I take great notice to the fact that she is always so put together since I will soon be the mom to 6 myself.  She does it all, and I don't know how she does it.  These kids are some pretty amazing, well behaved kids, and while their mom might argue that this is not the norm, I just have to say as a parent, if they behave when it matters... you are doing your job!

I don't know if it was a matter of routine, or just my lucky day, but for every new setting, all of the kids just fell in line.  Posing them was almost effortless... even with the littlest Belofsky, who was such a little doll.

What a beautiful family!  Thank you to all of the Belofsky kids and their mom for such a fun session, and thank you so much for allowing me to capture your family through my lens!

If you would like more information about pricing and photo sessions, please visit my website at www.JulieFerenziPhotography.com or contact me directly at 630-673-6233.

Fall photo sessions are booking up quickly.  Please try to book your sessions at least 3-4 weeks in advance for fall outdoor sessions and photos for the holidays!  I will do what I can to accommodate as many clients as I can, but I'm due on December 13th, so please book your Christmas card photos in advance.

Frank and Diane | Plainfield IL Photographers

Sometimes I'm really good at keeping up with blogs... and sometimes I'm not.  It's been 4 months since my last update, so I think I need to start taping sticky notes up around the house.

This weekend I had the honor of catching up with an old friend and her beautiful family at a gorgeous new location.  It was an hour from home, and I was just about there when the skies turned gray and the rain started to fall.  We started calling each other frantically from the car, but it was too late for me to turn back now.  I was checking this place out with or without a family to photograph... and then by the grace of God, the rain stopped and the skies cleared!  Game on.

And what a game it was!  Tag, chase, and puppet wars with Mr. Wolf and Lamby.  The Merlin twins were a blast to photograph and their gorgeous blue eyes allowed me to capture some very stunning shots.  Thanks for meeting me halfway yesterday Diane and Frank, and allowing me to capture the kids at such a great location.  What looked like it was going to be a bust... turned out to be just about perfect!

If you are interested in booking a session you can call me directly at 630-673-6233 or contact me through my actual photography website at www.JulieFerenziPhotography.com for pricing and session information.

Oh my Annie! | Plainfield IL Photography

How can you not love this girl?  That happy smile hardly ever leaves her face, and I've never seen her anything but joyful.  This is the kind of girl you want for your daughters best friend, and I just happen to be so lucky!

She's completely wise beyond her years, and she's the kindhearted friend that thinks about you when you're not around, and remembers your birthday... and as you can plainly see, she's beautiful too!

And if you knew her parents... you'd completely understand why she's such a remarkable young lady.  I think these photos show the beauty on the outside of what I already knew was on the inside...

Emmitt and Castiel... Twin Photography

Emmitt and Castiel are the two youngest in a family of 5 kids and they are just too cute for words.  I was wondering what I had gotten myself into when I decided to photograph *almost* 18 month old boys... but these little guys were absolute angels and I'm not just saying that either.

I'm not quite sure why, but I'm a total sucker for a set of twins.  If one is good, isn't two always better?  When it comes to babies, I think it is!

Their mom is from a small town in Wisconsin and I think she did a great job of capturing a little bit of home in these photos.  There is actually a story behind the theme for some of these photos that you can read about here.  I was so touched by this post and so happy to be part of recapturing a little bit of the past with the present.

Emmitt is definitely the serious one, and I'm not quite sure either one of them completely loved being in the grass barefoot...

This one kind of tells a story all it's own.

Two very different people, and two distinct personalities...  both from one amazing family!

Due to Inclement Weather and Illness:

My last two sessions over the last 4 days have been postponed.  Of course, my trigger finger was getting itchy... so I resorted back to my old ways.

Capturing my own kids in a moment:

Stay tuned later this week... Anthony's first birthday is the next big thing!  Until then, you might just see some more pictures of my kids.... or my dog!

Christmas Memories 2010

The day before Christmas Eve I was lucky enough to spend a few hours with some really good old friends!

I'm not a huge fan of using an external flash... but because this old VFW hall didn't offer a lot in the way of natural light, I was super happy with the way these photos turned out:

This Gwen.  She's the daughter of my old friends Bob and Kristine.  Her big sister Vyolet is hiding in these photos somewhere!
Zoey is a doll and she's a beauty to boot.  Those blue eyes... they get me every time!
This is my sister Shelly and her littlest daughter Lola.  She's a cutie and I love her and all of her chocolate faced glory.

This is my husband and my only daughter.  Sometimes she's a daddy's girl... sometimes she's not.  Thankfully I now have photographic evidence of one the times that she was :o)

This is one of my oldest friends, Dom, and my husband Tony.   I've known Dom since high school and he my inspiration when it comes to discovering new music every single time.  He's better than i-tunes.  Seriously.

I've known Kim since I was an itty bitty little girl.  She's my big sister LuWayne's friend from childhood and I was lucky enough to see her this year when she was in town for the holidays.  Here she is with her Mom.

Shelly and Heather.  Heather and Shelly.
Once upon a time they were just 18 and they were joined at the hip.  These days they each have a baby on EACH of their hips.  Time does those things to us...

Teegs.  She's been both mine and Shelly's friends over the years.  Even if I only end up spending time with her once a year at Christmas time... it's worth it every year!

Oh, sweet Molly! Can you believe she's the daughter of an old friend I went to elementary school with?!  I'm such a lucky girl to still be friends with so many friends from my childhood!
